where can i find free updates for my bios

If you want more help, try cpuid, a free download; need your motherboard chipset and model number. I don't recommend flashing the bios of an oem board; they're very expensive to replace if the flash goes bad, and rarely give you more bios options, though some will allow your bios to recognize more cpus if you want to upgrade it.
