I'm running a 2500K system with a single ASUS Radeon HD 6970 2GB. I currently am looking at the Antec HCG-900 900W PSU.

Is 900W over-kill? Or is it what I need?

I believe I am right in my assumption, given the reqs say the card alone is 400MHz. But what I am stumped on, is I plan to overclock my CPU as well as my card (Voltage Tweak capability). So will I be needing more?

EDIT: Well I read a couple reviews, did some math and the output is 890MHz on a single 12V rail. So....890/12 = 74 amps = 850W PSU? Still need clarification, cause I feel like I'm running circles around this...lol.

Yeah 750W sounds like a good deal...just to be on the safe side. I am still trying to figure out his PSU calculating bs haha.

Yeah 750w's are a good solid investment and allow for greater flexibility gpu wise.
Ya i agree psu calculators are pure BS now days.
Back a couple of years ago they were much better(realistic)
Now they're calibrated to upsell imo.

Yeah I have used a couple of them and one would say 650W, one 900W, and one 1050W and I'm like wtf...

Then I started looking around trying to figure out what I needed, which failed lol. Good thing is, Antec has the same PSU in a 750 :D. Which I'm going to.

Thank you for your help!
