Im building a new rig and im having problems choosing my mobo,
Build details:
Antec 900 Corsair 620W Modular AMD Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition OCZ Reaper HPC DDR3 1333MHz 4GB Kit CL6 ( 6-6-6-18 ) Samsung SpinPoint F1 1TB SATA2 32MB 7200RPM Sapphire "Vapor-X" Radeon HD 4890 1GB Samsung DVD±RW burner, SH-S223Q, SATA
Samsung 23" LCD Syncmaster 2333SW (1080p)
Any suggestions so far?
Basically i think the only thing left to decide on is my mobo...
atm its an Asus M4A78T-E VS a Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P
or possibly a GA-MA790FXT-UD5P (is it really worth the extra money?)...
any advise would be greatly apreciated!

That PSU is a bit pricey too, I think I would just get a Corsair 650tx. And if you plan on crossfiring another GPU later, you will need a more powerful PSU, at least 750w I would say, 850w would be better. A Corsair 850tx would be my suggestion. If you really want modular, then look at the Antec TruePower Quattro 850W.

To be honest, I don't like the Antec 900, cable managment sucks in that case, and tall coolers don't always fit, often you need to mod the case or cooler to make it work. Look at the Antec 902, or perhaps a case like the Coolermaster RC-690 (cheaper option) or CM Haf 922.

Ive heard excellent things about that ram in relation to overclocking etc. so i dont mind spending the extra for some ddr3 that will last for a while.
Yeah that PSU seemes to be the best bang for buck modular psu, went for modular due to easier cable management etc but its not a big deal. But I think you're right, im going to go for the 750w corsair (also cheaper)
The 900 seems to be the best bang for buck case out there, very cool temp wise, from what Ive read though the 902 just doesent seem to be worth the extra £20...
Is the scythe suitable for am3?
Im basically building this from scratch, nothing is worth taking from my old pc.
BTW ive decided to just get everything on komplett to save on shipping costs, the prices after £ to € conversion are almost exactly the same anyway (and faster delivery to Ireland).
If you want to Crossfire later, I would go for a larger PSU, the 750tx would be alright, but not optimal. 850tx would be my pick.
Either the asus or gigabyte board would be good, there really isn't a difference between the two. I like Gigabyte Bios layouts better though, so that is why I would pick the gig.
The CM-690 case I showed you is much better bang for the buck than the Antec 900 IMO. If you really wanted to have a side window on it, you can order that separate from the case. Also look at the CM Storm Scout case.
