Hi,
I am about to upgrad my Toshiba laptop from its original Home XP edition to
Pro edition.
Several things I heard. Some said that I have to redo everything. Some
said that I can keep all installed application as long as uninstall the
anti-virus software first. And the upgrad should be straightforward...
What's your opinion?
Thanks
BTW, I am planing to use the laptop to connect to company's network and just
realized that my home edition is not designed to do that. That's the main
reason of upgrading.

The upgrade should work just fine, so that you can keep most of the
settings and all your applications. However, you should backup as many
data as possible, since upgrdaing the OS always is a critical issue.
