Hello! I have recently bought Asus Striker II Formula and Xeon x3350 quad core. I have GTX 285, X-fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro, one DVD-R, and two sticks of ddr2 1066 RAM. I also have Freezer Extreme rev. 2 cooler and one more 120mm fan in my case. Will my PSU Chiftec 550W be enough to power these components? I don't know much about this electricity stuff, I just shoot people in COD4. I currently have Amd 5200+ and a M55 S3 gigabyte motherboard and all those other components, and everything is running just fine. Thank you very much!
The general rule of thumb is a high quality 500 to 550 watt power supply with sufficient current (amps) on the 12 volt rail(s) can easily power a system with any single video card made.
jsc & obsidian86 - I did not recommend the Chieftec power supply. I did not even know they sold power supplies. All I knew was Chieftec sold pc cases. Thanks for posting.
