Hi guys,

I just completed building my build and i was so happy that the thing POST'd on the first try. I've been playing with the BIOS for a few days until the DVD drive comes in the mail and noticed that when I went to play with the processor setting that only two of the cores were active. I updated the BIOS and it didn't change either. How can i possibly fix this? I dont even know where to begin to even try fixing it.

My setup:

Intel Core i7-920
6GB OCZ DDR3-1600
ASUS P6T MoBo
Dual-Crossfire XFX Radeon 4870's

Also, on a side note, can anyone referr me to a good place to setup ram timing and voltage?

Thanks a ton.

At the moment I do not have any sort of OS installed, I was independently looking at the BIOS and saw that i could only have enabled 1, or 2 cores. There was also an [auto] option which probably means all cores are active that were seen.

Well why don't you install the OS first. If your parts are not defective and you built everything correctly then everything should work fine. I have the exact same MB and CPU as you and my system booted fine on the first try, installed OS with no problems and has been working for 3+weeks since the first boot and hasn't had a problem yet :)
