My Xbox cant connect to my wireless internet!

I live in an apartment and we get free wireless internet. My computer connects just fine, but when I try to connect my Xbox 360 it cant obtain the IP address from the server, or so it tells me. What do I do? I tells me I need to restart the router, but I cant since I get it through the apartment.
