I'm building my first computer and have put together a preliminary list of pc components. I'm looking for tips and any substitutions you think should be made. Here is the list:

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Wolfdale 3.16GHz 6MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor - Retail

G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK - Retail

XFX HD-489A-ZDFC Radeon HD 4890 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail

Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drives - OEM

My plan is too run windows 7 when it comes out and I have yet to narrow down a power supply; I would appreciate any recommendations. I will also be using my old disk drives from my older computer. Thanks, for the help.

going core2duo seems like an odd choice, especially given the high-end graphics card you are looking at.

i would heavily suggest going Phenom ii. im pretty sure a 550 BE and a cheap AM2+ mobo would be a similar price (it is here in NZ at least) and you should get bags more performance and way better upgrade potential.
