Looking at an HP laptop, both pre-confiigured, one from NewEgg, the other from HP Store. NewEgg version is HP HDX 16-1140US and comes with a NVIDIA 9600M GT 512 MB memory. The HP Store version is HP HDX 16-1370US and comes with a NVIDIA GT 130M with 1 GB memory.

Any opinion regarding performance of either card appreciated. Use will be for graphics design, light video editing and maybe light gaming.

As an aside the NewEgg version has a Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4 Ghz and the HP Store version has the Intel Core 2 Duo P7500 2.26 Ghz. Both have 1066 Mhz FSB and 3 MB L2 cache.

The 130M is a die reduction of the 9600M, 55nm instead of 65nm. It is clocked slightly higher, and uses slightly less power. You won't really be able to tell teh difference performance wise.

Compared to the desktop parts, the 130M is very equivalent in performance to the desktop 9500.

Thanks for the reply. Might as well go with the NewEgg version which has the faster processor and save $86 in sales tax.
