Hey, I'm building a new gaming computer with an AMD phenom x4 2 955. this is an am3 socket cpu, and i was wondering if anyone could recommend a good motherboard for this with two x PCI Express x16 slots, running at x16. I can only find ones with one 16x and one 8x. Also, please try and keep it under $200.

what graphics cards are you going to run in those slots?

because anything below a 4870 X2 and there won't be any difference whatsoever.

yea i was going to put in a 4870x2 and i wanted room for another

4870 X2's are pointless now, especially adding a second, since in 2-6 months the 5870 X2 will be out which will be slightly more expensive than the 4870 X2 is now while offering about double the performance.

so paying $800 when if you wait a small period of time you can get something better for under $500 is a waste.

oh i didn't know a new one was coming out any idea when that'll be?

I would guess anywhere between September and December since it's coming out this year but not just yet.

also because ATi wants to tie the cards launch in with Win7 and DX11.
