Problem in loading os

Hello,
my pc is got virus infected and want to format completely so start loading xp on my pc it doesn't start booting from cd

Make sure it's a bootable windows install CD. Also, go into the bios and change the boot order so that CD/DVD is first, then hard drive is next.
