Is it a normal behavior for samsung t220 that an analog ang digital logo appears at the top left corner of the screen during bootup or when it goes to screensaver? Its like searching for the connection.

If you have it set to automatic detect it will cycle through all the mods till it finds the right one. you can go into the controll panel on the monitor and change it to manual and put it on whatever input you need and will not search.

You will have it show the input type for a few seconds till you get video signal then it should go away.

I fyou turn off your monitor then turn it back on you should see the input setting selected. Maybe you just did not notice it on his system. Try just turning off the monitor and turning it back on and let us know what your friends monitor is doing.
