I am attempting my first build. I have learned a lot fro this site. My build is for gaming mostly, I play wow warhammer, cod and I want a little future proofing. The two drives I plan on raid 0. I don't need a keyboard or monitor. I will be playing on a 47 inch 1920x1080. I would like to know if you see any issues that may come up. Also are the graphic cards good enough for my screen size. Here we go

2 Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3500418AS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - OEM

ASUS M4A79T Deluxe AM3 DDR3 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Deneb 3.2GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor Model HDZ955FBGIBOX

2 XFX HD-489A-ZDFC Radeon HD 4890 1GB 256-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card

2 mushkin 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model 996629

COOLER MASTER UCP RS900-AAAAA3 900W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS SILVER Certified Power Supply

COOLER MASTER RC-690-KKN1-GP Black SECC/ ABS ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail

The case and psu are a combo on newegg for $220.00 The total build as stated is $1324.91. I have a budget of 1500.00 but the savings is attractive. What do you think?

I would prefer this hard drive but everything else seems great.

I'd loose the 'cudas in favor of one or two Wester Digital Caviars. Other than that it looks good. You could save ~$75 by dropping down to an AM2+ system with a 940, the performance loss will be minimal, but you may loose some future upgradability. Oh, and you're price is dangerously close to Core i7 territory. Why_Me will be here any minute recommending his i7 920/GTX275 build, which is also good. I'd say either go with a Ph2 940 and get your budget under $1300, or go all the way and get an i7.

You could also save yourself some money and go for cheaper ram.
