Hi, I'm having a problem with a corrupted file: system32\ntoskrnl.exe
From what I have read I either need to replace the file or run chkdsk to fix it, both requiring the XP CD, which I do not have. I do have a windows Vista and windows 7 cd, can I boot the XP comp usingthe Vista or 7 CDs then use chkdsk from those cds to fix the XP comp? Thanks.
