Your list is absolutely useless, fix the links and remove about half of them, your first one links to an Antec 300 and EA380 combo and the 4th links to an Antec 902 and you have a second power supply listed. Fill out the form because i guarantee you your build can be improved easily.

Happy Birthday. You should mention your main purposes for the rig, ie, to be used mainly for gaming or something else? And also the budget for the build.
Good luck for your first ever build.

Yep...very few of us want to take the time to follow a whole list of links, especially ones that link to combos, etc.

Do you have a price range or purpose for the build?

Also, just a simple suggestion, but I'd got WD 640GB instead of 500 GB. I've not been a huge fan of RAID 0, but that's up to each individual.

Well if your budget range is more then $2000 then I would get something more expensive then the p6t and I would get ocz 2000mhz memory. Personally I would get a GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD4P. And fitting an SSD in that system as a boot drive is a must!

Dont buy one part at a time. Save up, once you get money parts will have dropped in price significantly. Also if you buy one part at a time you may be outside the time frame when you can RMA certain parts by the time you start building.

^ swap the PSU and case for a P193/ Antec CP-850, it's a lot better.

swap the mobo for a P6T

drop the v10 for a Prolimatech Megahalem if you can get one or a Noctua NH-u12P.

12GB of ram is overkill and will lower OC possibilities.

swap the 500GB drives for 640GB's, you'll get a fair speed increase.

swap the AS5 for OCZ freeze

swap that keyboard mouse set for an MS sidewinder X6 and an X8 mouse

swap that monitor for a 24" one.

I7 920's start at 2.66Ghz not 3.2Ghz so you'd be doing a 944mhz OC not a 400Mhz OC.

Get vista64 Home premium with an upgrade voucher for win7 for $50.

And finally, by the time you'll need to CF the 4890, it will be obsolete and the 5870 will have taken over, not to mention CF is totally pointless at this time since the 5870 comes out around October.

-A disagree, he wont get a speed increase he will either have the same speed or a speed decrease with a 640GB. The 500GB is made of 2x250GB platters most likley, and the 640GB will be made of 3 platters around 250GB or 2 platters of 320GB. So unless it has a high density platter inside where only 1 can be used I dont see how he could get a speed increase? please tell me cause i dont know.

i really dont know if you like posting 10 different threads on a forum to piss everyone off, or your just being an asshole

And try to listen to some peoples comments for once, do some research for yourself, your just posting random blobs of information, you dont know what the parts even do

1) For the second time, YOU DONT NEED 4 GOD DAMN HDD's, your going to play playing games, wth is wrong with you, RAID 0 too, if one HDD fails, they all fail.
Now, im sure your gonna be downloading large amounts of pr0n, but instead of destroying your whole system with malware, whynot get just 1 HDD with alot of storage and spend the money for a kickass anti-virus

2) 12GB's is...Just plain silly. You might even lower your performance with that many, go with 6GB (3x2) triple, thats how the i7 was meant to work.

Also try to be more informative in your posts about your build "ati radeon 4890" doesent help, try saying its producer and which version
*BTW* Check out the 4890 toxic, its very good for its price, facotry OC'd, and has an aftermarket cooler, and when i say checkout, go to newegg and actually look at it, not just post it on your build with no information on it

The 640GB drives are very fast and great performers for their price. They DO NOT have 3 platters, but 2 320GB platters. Check the benchmarks on them (especially the WD Black) and you'll see they do offer an increase.

I agree about RAID 0 - no redundancy. If you lose a disk, the whole thing is shot. I'd go with one decent HDD (a WD 640GB Black would be a nice reasonable choice) for the OS and another for storage. If you just feel like you have to spend a ton on HDDs, get a Raptor (though I never can convince myself to pay that $$$ for a drive).

Good luck with the build.
