ok, i enabled bluetooth on my laptop. now what?

Firstly you have to have the drivers for that device installed on the laptop.
We need the model number and make of the laptop you have to be helpful and also to know whether it actually has a built in BT device or not.
Activating it is usually a software but before activating it you need to press some button to get it physically on. And that is something which we can only tell you if we know the model you're using.
