Antec 920 CPU fan error?

Hey guys,

I finally put together my system, everything is working fine but I get this CPU fan warning and it stops my boot.

How do I get rid of this error?

the kuhler 920 has 3 pin fan connector, but the cpu fan header is 4 pin but I have it connected in there anyway.

apparently the motherboard reports a fan error when the CPU fan is runnning under 600 RPM. I just had to crank it up a bit using the software.

You should be able to disable the fan erroring...if you had an actual watercooling loop, you wouldn't have anything plugged in, but would still need to bypass that error. There should be a BIOS setting to disable it.

I have a 920 and after my install i was getting that stuff.. my mobo is P67 and there are 2 sets of fan header pins for CPU Fan; one is a three pin and one is a four pin. What i found out after set up was the same as you, fan error message.. it comes from the Dashboard software, not the MoBo. The answer is to go into the Bios and turn CPU Fan to FULL. If You have CPU fan on Auto in the Bios then you do not get enuff volts to get the Kuhlers fans kicking along at 600 rpm at idle states.
