I need to buld a server intended to use with Apache and Mysql for a Intranet.
At first sight, the difference of Athlon II X4 620 and Phenom II X4 810 is just 4 MB of L3 cache and 40% more money.
Both have the same frequency, L1 and L2 cache sizes
Would Apache and Mysql Make good use of that Phenom II X4 810's additional 4 MB L3 cache or I could save money and go for Athlon II X4 620?

It depends on the amount of load is going to be on your server. If it is lightly-loaded, the CPU won't matter much. If you have heavy traffic, you may want to get a multi-socket setup. You might want to ask this question in the Linux forum here as they'd know more about this than me. The extent of my experience with Mysql and Apache is running a MythTV intranet site with two users

Yes, I am actually still running the Pentium III 1.0B Coppermine in the picture.

MySQL, like other databases can benefit from lots of cache, the Apache on the other hand it's likely to be affected much either way. I would go for the extra cache, but it does really depend on whether it'll be heavily loaded or not, and whether the load is mostly on the database or elsewhere.
