Lower than advertised ssd speeds.

I just got a new OCZ Vertex 2 50GB SSD and the read speed is only in the 120/150 range. I have AHCI set so I do not know what the problem is.

1) What benchmark did you run and how many test did you try? Running too many benchmarks on the SandForce drivers cause them to throttle, which results in lower performance number. 2) Have you contacted OCZ to see if you received a 25nm version, which has lower performance number than the 34nm version.

I used the AS SSD tool. I only ran it a few times. I got the 25nm version. I got the extended warranty because I seen they had some failure problems. I am getting around 160mbs now. Still a lot faster than my HDD which was around 70.
