Typical problem with my vista 32 bit sp1. It recognises dvd/cd only when restarted with it. Meaning, if i insert a dvd or cd , vista doesn't show it in the explorer but if i now restart my pc, vista loads and if i start explorer, there is the dvd or cd. Can anyone help me solve this ?

Got through that post, but i don't have upper or lower filters in that reg key. Another thing i forgot to mention , i installed nero 10 and now if i insert a blank dvd or cd, the autorun menu pops up and vista recognizes the disk. But no other written disk would be acknowledged. I have xp and win 7 too installed in separate hdds and they give no trouble with my dvd drive.
