So I have had my intel i7 960 @ 4GHz with stock cooler 40c idle 75c full load for hours.
and just got the Noctua NH-D14 and was able to set @ 4.2GHz 35c idle 50c full load for hours. I would like to see if I could set to 4.4GHz and still get good temps but I was running into a problem with it would boot just fine and fast but once i logged in it would take FOREVER to load everything. Is that a sign that I need to raise voltages maybe a little?
I have a MSI x58 Pro-E motherboard and it automatically puts the voltages up for me and I cant find out how to take it off auto but it has always worked for me.
