so i hooked up my ps3 to my monitor by a hdmi to dvi cable and it works fine. but when I hook up my dvi cable that comes out of my graphics card to a dvi female to vga hd15 male adapter and put it in my screen, my monitor goes in standby mode.
help me!

i have a vista 32 with 9400 gt

Use hdmi to hdmi for the PS3.
Use the VGA connector on the 9400 GT for the monitor.
If you can't do this, please specify the brand you have with a link possibly.
