what is make xeon processors difference ? what is differece between desktop and servers ?

Mostly the memory; server boards mostly use ecc memory, which is slightly slower than non ecc and more expensive. The server boards also have fewer bios options for changing memory timings and overclocking the cpu. Some of the newer server boards will use either type of memory.

Server chips are normally higher quality too, rated for 24/7 operation. I believe they have more error detection too.
