Hi, I've just finished installing my brand new system, everything is plugged in order. But when I try to boot it up, the powersupply spins 1/4 of a turn, it launches my CPU's fan, then everything stops.

Here's my system info :

Asus P5Q Pro
OCZ Reaper Hpc Edition PC2-8500 DDR2 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-1066 CL5-5-5-15 Dual Channel EPP Memory Ki
eVGA GTX 260
OCZ ModXstream 600w Powersupply
Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Dual Core Processor LGA775 3.0GHZ Wolfdale
Western Digital Caviar Black 640GB 7200RPM 32MB Dual Proc 3.5IN SATA

I've tried a few things like reinstalling the CPU's fan, removing and then putting back the mobo's screws, booting with only one RAM stick, etc etc.

Really exhausted, anyone got a clue??

Sounds like a bad psu or a short. if you can swap in a different psu, try that. Otherwise . . .

Remove all cables/wires from mobo (except cooler fan) and pull mobo out of case. Pull memory out of mobo. Plug in only the two power cables. Simulate your Power Switch by using a screwdriver to short the two pins (touch both at same time) that you normally put your Power Switch connector on.

If the thing stays on, you had a short somewhere. Start reinstalling stuff one piece at a time until you find it.

If it didn't stay on, you got a bad psu (or mobo).

It's prbly just a bad psu

Try it outside the box with minimal components. No offense...you do have the 8-pin ATX 12V Power cable connected to the MB?
