Windows xp setup stop after copying the files

xp disc in on startup and it starts going through the setup process. I reformat d: during the setup process just to make sure and tell it to install on to that drive/partition. It copies all the xp setup files and then its time for the reboot. When it reboots, it asks if i want to boot from the cd so i leave it to count down and ll that happens is the screen goes blank.

Hello....

Format whole hdd and make new partitions and install OS once again... If this does not work , check your hard-disc this may be due to problem in hdd.

Just a thought - maybe the installer CD has gone bad, possible? Try installing from another CD??

Since nothing worked so far, lets try Parted Magic. You can boot from CD (no install required). Erase all Data from HDD and format again with Parted Magic.
I am sure something is going to work - Good luck!!
