I hope the Dell guy is out there.I went to dell support drivers and none of the drivers will get the pc to recognize the internet card. However one download asfen75a-1 downloads as a winrar file but there is no executable file to get it to work.I tried softpedia and many of the drivers I tried are the same as the dell site.I loaded the chipset driver but still no luck.I do not have the original XP installation CD for this PC but used one from a dell 5150.Could the problem be the driver for the 5150 is blocking install of correct driver for GX280.Please help.Thank You.Should I see if Broadcom has a direct site for drivers?
I always let windows search for a device driver online or use nvidia's or Amd's website (for ati video devices). While connected online, go to the control panel>system>hardware and check for marks next to disabled devices. At the top, click on "action" or "properties" and "update driver". Give it some time to do a search. If your lan device is missing a driver, you can use a lan card (for $6-7) and load the driver that comes with it.
