Just building a couple of new computers, each with an Asus P8Z67-V motherboard and 2600K CPU's, and Noctua U12SE coolers with fans in push-pull.
I've been trying to OC one of them a bit, but I just can't seem to get the overclocking to show up in CPU-Z. It reads out 3.4GHz at any multiplier I set, even when testing prime95 for several minutes it reads 3.4GHz, where it should kick into turbo.

How can I get around this? It's like I'm not even sure the OC is there, cause the numbers stay the same. :P

Realtemp too, and Coretemp. Same speed.

Did your overclock fail and ASUS reset it to default without you noticing?

I've been at it for hours, trying different things. Have not gotten any beeps or errormessages on screen. Not going that high yet either, just 43X.

Seems like the versions of the utils I was using couldn't read the processor or chipset right. Asus monitor got me more realistic numbers. Case closed.

If it has anything to do with Thermaltake, it's a BAD IDEA.
