Hello everyone,

I have just purchased a Asus M3N-HT DELUXE MEMPIPE, wanted a Asus m4A785G HTPC but when i arrived they told me it was thw wrong stock received and they didnt have it.

I have two questions,

Asus M3N-HT DELUXE MEMPIPE VS ASUS M4A785G HTPC, which is better? e.g for hdmi, high def and video processing, i have phenom ii x4 955.

question number 2, NVIDIA 780A SLI VS AMD 785G, Which is the better chipset?

any help much appreciated!

thanks

The 785G is the better board/chipset. Nvidia chipsets do not come highly recommended. They had/have too many know issues with their boards. Also, the 785G is the newer chipset of the two.

Thats what i thought, really wanted the M4A785G HTPC but had already sold my old P5K and didnt want to not have a computer for 1-2 weeks as christmas and the A3N-HT looked good but the A3N-HT is more expensive so could probably just purchase the other board online and sell this one if really wanted to but not sure if it's really worth it? Am i going to notice much difference?

thanks

Had thought at one point of going for a AMD 790 chipset but they are ddr3 and thats not exactly cheap and from what i've heard, ddr3 is not really any better much than ddr2.
