well i've made the jump to an i7 and i'm very happy with the nice shiny finish on everything, BUT, i have no experience with i7s at all and was wondering if someone who knows their stuff could help me out with setting up my bios so that i experience very little problems (as far as new builds go). my setup is as follows (i'm installing vista ultimate x64):
-Corsair HX1000 PSU
-MSI eclipse plus mobo
-Intel core i7 950 @ 3.07Ghz (please don't moan at me about the fact of the 920 being OCed to 4ghz etc.
)
-GTX 285 1GB (xfx black edition) 2-way SLI
-Corsair 12GB (6x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz XMS3 Memory For i7 Motherboards
but yeah, if i've left anything out, please tell me, i'm just looking for advice on what bios settings should be different from their default positions. thanks in advance
p.s. i'm not planning on OCing anything but i'm using the Zalman 9900 for the CPU and the rest of the system is cooled by 6 fans
