DRAM Frequency low

Hi

I have a decent overclock on my i7 920 set up, the cpu is stable at 3.78 GHz.
However, the DRAM frequency is only at 567 giving me an effective working frequency of 1134. If I up the DRAM frequency multiplier from 6 to 8 giving me 1512 the system becomes unstable detecting an issue on boot up and resets itself to more palatable settings

I have my memory voltage up at 1.64V and I would prefer not to push it much further than that

The memory itself is:

Corsair 6GB DDR3 XMS3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz (3x2GB) Triple Channel DDR3 (TR3X6G1333C9)

I would like to get the memory up to at least its work frequency of 1333Mhz

What are my options?

My board does not have a 7x multiplier

I did try your suggestion on the timings and on the face of it, it seems to have worked! I will try some stability testing and see how I go. The computer seems to be quicker as well.

Now why it has worked I have no idea, any chance of an explanation?

Sometimes if you keep the timings on Auto and just increase the speed to 1600 it will try to keep the lower timings. That usually results in errors. Manually changing the timings is sometimes necessary.

Stressing it with MemTest86+ and IntelBurnTest on Maximum settings will help to determine whether it's stable or not.
