Any comments on the build? I also need advice on cooling (liquid is an option). I only wanna overclock to a bit over 3 GHz. I was considering ULTRA ChillTec 939/AM2/775/i7.
ditch the baracuda, get the western digital caviar black 1tb, i doubt ull need more than that, the seagates have been reported to be a bit finikey, on 2200 you could get an ssd, the corsair p128 is a good choice

Sweet thanks, I'm going for the Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB after reading a lot of failures about the Seagate 7200.11 1.5 TB drive. Also going for the Noctua . No liquid cooling recommendations anyone? or would that be unnecessary for the intended 3.0 GHz overclocking. I do like a quiet rig though...
Asus p6t is a great overclocking board, and if you're only going to oc 360mhz, get the cheapest motherboard you find, not a delux one like that. Again with the oc, you might as well stay with stock cooling, because I was able to get 3.4 ghz on my core i7 with the intel stock, and with 3 ghz you can keep it below 70 degrees. ?
Since gaming is this mostimportant feature, I'd suggest this: OC it way more than 3 ghz, orelse downgrade all those relevant parts. Lastly, since you don't do video editing and that kind of stuff you'll probly never even need more than several hundred gigabytes, so invest in a solid state drive or two instead of the current hard drive. No loading!
