Hey quick question...i am building a system around an AMD phenom II X4 and im a little puzzled on what case to get.

should i get the Antec 300 that COMES with a power supply...and if you do suggest it, is the power supply good? thats my main concern...is the power supply good

or should i get the Cooler master 690...seems like a really good case but doesn't come with power supply

or are there any other really good cases you would suggest?

What graphics card are you planning on using with it? Also if you look at the normal Antec 300's combo deals it actually cheaper to get it combo'd with that power supply which i find ironic and you also get the choice of a variety of other antec PSU's.

I am planning on using the XFX HD-485X-ZDFC Radeon HD 4850 1GB 256-bit GDDR3...seems like a good card. Im very new to all of this so if you could give me advice on a better, but similarly priced, card that would be awesome :)

ya that's what i originally had planned...get cm and get corsair psu. But then i found the Antec w/ psu that would save me a good chunk of money

A 430w psu is minimal for running a radeon 4850, you'd do better with at least 550w, 600 watts would be best if you want to do any overclocking or crossfire. However, I have an antec 300 case and have squeezed in a radeon 4830 and coolermaster V8 cpu cooler quite comfortably.

Thanks to the five fans the case supports and the dust filters on all the intake fans it stays quite cool if not exactly picture perfect inside. The real probablimatic part is that the psu is mounted on the bottom of the case and whatever you have installed on the bottom of your mobo could get in the way. Because of this it is a great case for gaming or whatever, just don't expect to fill every pci slot and make sure your mobo doesn't have any serious connections at the very bottom.
