Hi Guys,

The Manual for the EVGA E760 Classified MOBO says, "Before plug these two power connection(for the CPU), please make sure your power supply
support two 8-pin ATX 12V differential output".

The Antec SG650 PSU I selected has the following connecters.

1 x Main connector (20+4Pin)
1 x 12V(P4)
1 x 12V(8Pin)
9 x peripheral
9 x SATA
1 x Floppy
2 x PCI-E

It appears to me that there is only one 8 pin power connection for the CPU and not 2. Is this PSU incompatible with this MOBO? If so, what do you recommend to fit inside a Antec nine hunderd two case?

Best regards,
Ted

HX1000 is the only PSU I know of right off that has 2x8-pin, but there are probably others.

As to whether you actually need both, or perhaps can buy an adapter for the second, I don't know.

Hi,

Thanks. On another thread, other guys were posting their PSU was compatible, like for instance the Corsair HX850, however, when I checked it's spec's, it only has 1 2X8pin. How are they getting theirs to work? Adapter???

In addition, the PSU included in the barebones kit on Tigerdirect (for the classified) comes with a PSU with only 1 2X8pin.

Best regards,
Ted

You do not need to plug in both on the Classified. It is only required for extreme overclocking (5GHz+).

Just plug it on the lower connector and you're good to go.

There are however issues with certain PSU's not working at all, the Enermax revolutions comes to mind as a hit or miss power supply, some work, some don't!
