Hi,

just got a used TP 770X and it is really a very nice device (with 192MB)
but the keyboard could use some cleaning.

Any experiences made? What would be the best and most secure way?

TIA,
Karl-Heinz

Use a good paintbrush - brush and vacume off the larger particles and
hair. That's for general cleaning.

Cleaning the key caps requires more care: use a windex'd (not too wet)
Q-Tip, and a pair of needled-nose pliers (or anything like it). Use the
pliers to hold down any two keys while you Q-tip the areas in between -
this is to prevent accidental "popping" of the keys, which folks may have
a hard time putting back. Takes a while...

Too late, but thank you very much. I did use Q-tip already and a lot of
liquid with 40% alcohol to clean the keys - after I removed the keyboard
for being sure nothing would drip into the laptop interior... all went
fine, I made a long test and no shortcuts showed up. :-)
