just ordered 1866Mhz vengeance ram and will soon be getting the ASUS Crosshair IV Formula 890FX my other parts are 1090t x6 asus 6970 direct cu 2 750watt cooler master how high would i be able to overclock the speed of my ram too

Why would you want to overclock your ram? I would underclock it to 1600mhz and tighten the timings.

mainy because ive looked in to this a bit and ill be mainly using my rig for gaming and timings wont be as good in this case for what i want but anyway i was mainly just curious to what speed you can get from it

You will be able to compare itself with maxxmem2
software, such as your first test with 1600 9-9-9-24
record the result, then 1600 8-9-8-23, or 1600 7-7-20, you will do this over and over again with different settings to take to reading, writting, data transfering a did you get the highest result.
