ok so when I turn off mine, the time and date gets reset when I turn it back on with my PC, Monitor and Speakers that are connected to it. Does this mean I need a new battery for my motherboard?

is it good to turn off your surge protector when done with using your PC?

because my power supply for my Monitor, which is laying right next to the surge protector, makes noise and it's annoying at night. Plus isn't it good to give your sleeping monitor as well as your PSU that xfers voltage to your mobo and keeps it on while it's inactive?

Solution

Yes.

Doesn't much matter one way or the other. If you want to turn it off, go ahead.

If the noise at night bothers you, turn the strip off.

Two of my systems run largely 24/7. OTOH...
