USB disk drive letter conflict?

Hi, I have a USB drive that is detected (autoplay opens) then 30 seconds later autoplay drops out before I can transfer files from it ..... then opens again, looping through this cycle continuously. The drive is recognised as F:. I think I may have another drive recognised as F:. Could this be a conflict of drive letter and if so, how do I change the drive letter of this USB device in Windows 7. Thank you. Neil

in the Disk Manager you can change drive letters for all your drives.
