Hi,

I have the gigabyte m59sli-s5 mobo. bios version F9c

I'm trying to put 2 corsair cm2x2048-6400c5 memory so i can have 4 gb on it.
I'm running winxp.

the issue is that it keeps crashing.. Windows launches and sees it as 3.5 gb memory.. but application crashes when i try to launch them.

i thought it was the memory so i sent them to corsair to replace them but the new ones are still having the same issue... Is the memory just not compatible with the mobo?

Well, on an Intel 775, you'd be looking at 'bumping' the memory controller hub voltage a tenth or so, to compensate for four DIMMs; as nVidia rabidly repels any attempts at acquiring documentation of any sort, dunno what to tell 'ya here... (except, maybe, try to stay away from nVidia in the future :kaola: )
