Easily migrate from RAID 1 to RAID 1+0 ?

Hello, I recently built a computer and I'm running RAID 1 on an ASROCK P55 EXTREME4 motherboard using Intel Rapid Storage Technology software.

Is it easy to buy two more identical drives and migrate to RAID 1+0 for a little performance boost?

RAID 1+0 is different from RAID 0+1. More information here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAID

In any case, make a complete backup of all data on the RAID 1 drives before you do anything. I personally feel that you may have to take down the RAID 1 before you can setup a new RAID 1+0 or RAID 0+1
