in real world situations, the difference would be minor.

waht sort of task do you have planned for them?

in my honest opinion, the athlon I's are absolute trash. they are slow and inefective. im a gamer, so they owuldnt cut it. if you just want something for simple web browsing and video decoding they would be fine, but for harder tasks they break down and cry.

i would highly recomend spending a little extra on a phenom II X2. these are pretty brilliant procesors for those ona budget.

yes, IMO that processor is well worth the cost. far better than the athlon II's.

it may be worth springing for the 550, but the 545 is still a great proc.
