Hi

I`m looking to buy a relative a new graphics card but i fear the motherboard on there current system will not be right she has an asus pvp800f-x pci pnp,these were the information on the manual i`m looking to get a NVIDIA GeForce 9400GT 512MB GDDR2 PCI-E
NVIDIA GeForce 9400GT 512MB GDDR2 PCI-E for it.will she need a new motherboard.

This is an old P4 motherboard. The PCIe bus had not been implemented when this board was made, I believe is has a AGP slot.
In short, it's not worth spending any money on. No matter what you buy, this system is still going to old, outdated, and painfully slow. You can't help her out here.
Perhaps a nice set of ear rings, or some bath and body lotions she will probably enjoy a lot more.
