MSI 6950 2GB Won't OC in MSI Afterburner

Hey guys,

I recently finished my liquid cooling system and am now working on OCing. However, MSI Afterburner isn't letting me OC past 840 MHz on the core, and 1325 MHz on the memory. Is there some way to fix this? I never had issues with my 460s and 470s.

I did attempt the 6970 bios hack, but it artifacted too much at stock settings so I reverted back to the 6950 BIOS. Does this have an affect on its interfacing with MSI AB?

Thanks.

NOTE: In the pic, you can see I'm running 2.2.0 Beta 4, but it had the same issue in 2.1.0. I figured I'd try the latest version to see if that would fix the problem.

I use to use afterburner, but just switched it to Sapphire TRIXX. Try it and see what you like best.
  2. Hmm. Didn't work (the .cfg file is different in 2.2.0 than in 2.1.0), but TRIXX works immediately after installation. Good call there, thanks :)
