i have a phenom II x4 920
biostar 790gxb a2+

it has a automatic overclock setting and i use that because i am afraid of frying a board. but when i auto clock it sets my ram to 800 instead of 1066. it is currently at 3.2ghz and i need to know what to put in as hypertransport and voltage if i run at 250 speed.

since a 955 (what i have) and a 920 are basically the same chip, save for the 920 being clocked lower, the voltages will be the same. The minimum voltage to run at 3.2ghz should be 1.1750, and that will also run very cool.

also by hypertransport you mean the fsb right? (the thing that starts at 200)

1.35 volts (aka 955 stock voltage) can get to 3.5

Here's an excellent article by Mr. Henningsen about overclocking PhenomIIs, it may help answer some of your questions.

I run at 3.6ghz @ 1.35v just fine. 18x multiplier @ 200mhz FSB. 32c idle... 43c full load.

I've even ran it at 3.8ghz for a while too, with 1.35v.... but most people recommend 1.375v at that frequency. I never ran into any issues though.
