I am trying to change out, just my pc, to a better on, but my keyboard and mouse (usb) does not work with any of the usb plugs in the PC. Do I need to find a keyboard and mouse with the pin connectors or obtain a converter to change my usb to the older pin type connecter?

HMMMM,,,Sounds like your USB is not turned on in the bios ??, and you will thus need a PS2 keyboard or USB to PS2 adapter to get into the bios to turn on your USB...:)
