Load a picture first error when playing games on windows 8

Hello, I desperately need an answer for this... I tried to install the sims medieval, witcher 2, the sims 3 on my new dell inspiron 15R laptop... it installs fine and runs smoothly for a few minutes and the game crashes... an information box will pop up saying Please load a picture first! and an ok button after clicking that however the game fails to load... WHAT IS GOIN ON???!!!

You probably have the Windows Start Screen Customizer installed. Probably the selected picture Path for your Start screen has changed. Either exit the programm or reselect the picture.

I was having the same problem. He's right, change your customized background and it should work.
