Hello!

I had following configuration:

CPU: Procesor AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition, socket AM3, BOX
MBO: Gigabyte MA790XT-UD4P, AMD 790X+SB750, S. AM3, 8xSATA RAID, DDR3
PSU: CORSAIR 550W, VX Series CMPSU-550VXEU, 12cm vent., ATX
MEM: DDR3 4GB (2x2GB) Corsair, 1600MHz, 9-9-9-24, COR-TW3X4G1600C9DHX x2
HDD: HDD WD 1Tb, 1001FALS , SATA II, 32Mb Cache, WD Caviar Black, 72
DVD: Pioneer DVR-117FBK, DVD±RW, 22x crn , ATA
GPU: XFX HD4850 512MB DDR3 625MHz, Dual DVI, HDTV out, HDCP ready
CASE: CoolerMaster Elite 334, black, (W)187 x (H)421 x (L)485 mm, 6kg

It was OK, but too loud. Since I needed to change graphics, and wanted to make my configuration much quieter, I replaced my graphic card with this one:

MSI HD6850 OC Cyclone, 1GB,DVI,HDMI,DX11

The configuration is less noisy, but not nearly as I thought to be - CPU's stock cooler is very loud. Since that noise bothers me rather much, replacing cooler is only solution. However, I need advice on which model to take. My new cooler should be as quiet as possible, and easily installable. I like Scyte Mugen 2 rev. B, because it works good and is rather quiet, but it's installation looks very painful (I wouldn't like to be forced to take MBO out of computer just to be able to install cooler. So, if anyone has any good solution (preferably not too expensive, let's say up to $80) please share...

Unfortunately, only the last one (Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus) is available in local stores Croatia...

Does anyone knows anything about Scyte Katana 3? It's rather cheap, and it's easy to install, but I'm not sure about noise it produces?

The Katana 3 is a very low profile cooler, but the Hyper 212+ is better in price/performance.

Can you buy from International stores? Some very good stores in the USA have International shipping to many countries in the world.

I can buy from outside, but customs tariff are rather high, so... not sure... But I'll check it.

Cooler master N620 - also a no in local stores. But there are some good stores which are not enlisted on my favorite search engine, so I'll have to check with them.

What do you think about this coolers:
- ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 13
- Spire TherMax II
- Cooler ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2
- Cooler COOLERMASTER Hyper TX3
- SCYTHE Samurai ZZ
- ZALMAN CNPS 5X

Heh, stock cooler

Anyway, I say just get a decent 92mm cooler like this one

XIGMATEK LOKI SD963 $24.99

While a 120mm fan might be quieter I'm not sure it will fit in that case as the heatpipes are likely to rub against the side there. Even so that Loki will keep your CPU cooler and quieter than the stock fan/heatsink. You don't really need to be spending more than say $40 on a new cooler unless you have a case with better airflow.

Well, thanks everyone for helping me. Tomorrow I'm going to local store which has few rather good models and we'll see what fits in my case. Maybe CM Hyper 212+ will fit, but if it doesn't we'll try to find something that fits. If nothing else, atana 3 should fit, and since I'm not much of a overcloker - that should be fine (and quiet enough).

I just wanted to inform you that I've taken my PC to local shop, and that I decided to take Scythe Katana 3 after all. Since I'm not overclocker, i haven't had problems withe temprature with stoch cooler, and I definitely don't have it now either (surprisingly, temperature are just 2-3 degrees lowe5r than beforebut that's OK; only under full load temp. goes above 50 C). However, this cooler is much more silent than sotock cooler so i'm rather happy with my upgrade. And it didn't cost me much, so I'm very happy. Finally, I just want to say "thank you" to everyone involved in this conversation.
