Hello everyone, what would you people say is the best mid tower chassis for 100 dollars or less. I'll be trying to squeeze in a 5870 into 1 if I can.

CM 690 would be a good one. About 70 on the egg. Or Antec 900, they seem to get good reviews and I just purchased the CM 690.

CM Storm Scout

CM 690

CM 922

All good cases I've seen recommended over and over on this site. They should all fit the 5870.

I don't know about the scout. I currently have the scout and looked through alot of fourms, and the size of the card would hit the hardrive case. I had enough trouble tring to get the two 75W 6-pin PCI Express power connectors in.

Alas, I forgot the 5850 was 2 inches shorter than 5870. I'd double check the dimensions on all of the cases I posted.

Good catch Viral.

No worries I was looking into getting the card myself, and than I realized it wouldn't fit unless I where to mod the case. So yes it could go in if you mod your case but a stock CM Scout no.

I've heard good things about the cm 690...how does it stack up against the others and would it come out ontop?

The CM 690 is the best case for the price... IMO. It isn't as good as either the Antec 900/902 or CM HAF 922/Scout but to me the differences don't out way the price difference.

Oh trust me, it is a badass case, but the others I mentioned would be a better choice IMO. I bought it because it was $30 off and free shipping :). Couldn't resist the deal, but if any other of the cases were on sale I probably would have went with them.

Check out these video reviews of the CM690:

Lancool K58. It's a rather nice case.

The Lancool K58W has a window and has the best toolless design on the market. The only thing I don't like about it is that it only comes with 2 140mm fans. Its under $100 on Newegg, check it out.

I just bought a HAF922 yesterday and it's freezing with it aside! I would get the CM690 if I knew the HAF922 is not only a PC case but a freezer too at the same time.
