let me clear more:- i have 250 GB hdd with no RAID in it and it is my system HDD on which i have my OS installed already. ( this has only one drive C: and that has got total hard disk size of 250).

now i got 1 RAID adaptec 1220SA controler which having 2 SATA ports, i have installed that RAID card to my PCIex , and installed 2 1TB hdds to it and created RAID 1 Array ( Mirror) it completed succesfully . but after this all i am unable to boot from my system HDD ( 250 GB ). and when i remove HDD from my RAID and try to boot , it boots up :)  . so where is issue ?

so question is does RAID work if system HDD is not part of RAID ?

Check your bios for the correct boot order and boot drive.

HI, thanks for reply. BIOS settings are corrrect. default boot HDD is local HDD of System( 250 GB).

That's odd. If your RAID controller has a boot option in it's bios, make sure it is disabled. Other than that, not sure what would cause that.
