Hi All.

I am looking forward to get a new system with Q9400 cpu. So I am just wondering over which is the best motherboard to go for this CPU.

I know the Gigabyte p45 UD3 series of MB's are good... but they have no on board video.

Is it good not having 'on board video' ..?

So, can any one here please suggest me a good MB for this CPU...

also need to mention that...

Thanks in advance for your help.

Micro MB's have onboard graphics. Enthusiast oriented full ATX MB require an add on graphics processing card (video card). Either of these MB's would do well with a C2Q 9400.

These are micro ATX MB's for socket 775 (C2Q 9400) with onboard graphics solutions.

Hi friends...

Appreciate your help in guiding me.

Well .. as 'zipzoomflyhigh' mentioned above...
"However if you already have the cpu I would recommend Gigabyte or Asus P45." ...

The thing is I have not got the Q9400 cpu yet... but this is what I have in mind ... I am thinking getting a C2Q will be better than going for an C2D ... if we see it in future proofing .. as I won't be upgrading soon ... after getting the system built... I am not sure though .. I may be wrong .

Will it be better to get the new system with C2Q like (q9400) or with a C2D ....?

If I am going for this CPU (q9400) then which MB should be the best fit ...? As I won't overclock ... but I do play games sometime .. and use 'photo shop CS2' and some other heavy softwares often ...

Please suggest...

Thanks in advance .. !
