hi all,

i was using previously using a Gforce ti4800 with one dvi and one analogue out put, which ran both my monitors perfectly.

A Hitachi CML174sx on the DVI output, and the samsung 1710N on the analogue.

Now i have upgraded the video card to a ATI HD3650, with dual DVI, and neither monitor will function directly off the dvi socket, ,, I have to use an analogue converter on the video card outs to go into my monitors anaolgues ins.

The Samsung loves it, crystal clear, (the samsung only has analogue out)

the hitachi isn't coping that well, just a little darker, foggier on the text generally.(the hitachi has both outs)

Why wont the digitial output, out put?

When i use the old cable, dvi to dvi, that i had previously on the ge-force to hitachi, worked.
But on the ati, says "no signal"

????

Is there a jumper setting on the card, that says bw digital and analogue?

Seems only the analogue out at present from the dvi.

Bit confused.

any help appreciatd.

cheers

thanks,

both cards have a dvi-i dual link out,

So, the dvi out on the cards is identical, from appearance.

i notice my digital cable is a dvi-d (dvi digital single link) (the cable that worked on the old card but not the new)

I am using two analogue cables and adaptors to work in analogue mode.

Is there a setting onthe card, jumper? that says to output in digital?

cheers

hey evo,

there are two jumpers on the card, but i'm not sure what they do.

if they are power voltage or something i dont want to kill the card, if that is possible by puting them wrong.

still a puzzle
